Beginner to the ukulele needs help!?
So,I'm wanting to start to learn and play the ukulele. Mostly to entrain myself and others. Now,I don't really know about ukulele's all that much. For the past few months I've been looking on the Internet at information about certain things like what kind of ukulele I would want,what brand,what size,etc and it's all kind of confusing for me. So,I'm asking for a little help from so experts :) what I'm wanting is a professional ukulele that won't go over 100 dollars (preferably 60 at minimum),but it can't be some cheap one that a little kid could drop and it be fine. I would like to play either a concert or soprano (concert preferably) ukulele,but one for beginners. A few questions for that would be,what brand should I get? I've heard other brands are better than others but I don't want to go over pricing. So,what would be best for me :) please tell me soon!How to play ukulele?
I was given a ukulele for my birthday and I've never played a musical instrument before. I know this is silly but I don't even know how to hold it properly (and I'm left handed) and I tried plucking at the strings and it makes a noise but how do I make those strings sound like a song? I've been on YouTube and the people keep saying to pluck certain letters like A and then C but I don't know what and where they are because there are no letters on my ukulele. I really badly want to be able to play my ukulele and there are no classes where I live. Please help. Also I looked at a book in the music shop and I can't read music. :.
